Acceditation, 1972-1989
This sub-series contains materials related to the accreditation of KMTI’s and KCA’s teacher-training programs. Files are mostly related to membership in the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) and accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Materials include applications from KCA, reports from investigators, and documentation of KCA’s preparations for accreditation. NASM files are chronological and NEASC files are in original order.

Files regarding some KCA faculty and students in series 5 are restricted due to sensitive personal information; see the subseries descriptions for more detail. A few other files detailing personnel action are held in a restricted box until 2040. All other records are open for research use.
