Officers, 1956-2009

This series contains materials relating to specific ASTR officers and is divided into subseries for each office. Items include correspondence, papers related to the duties of the office including reports, personal papers related to committee meetings which augment those found in Series 2, and materials outlining personal and professional views of events occurring within the organization during the officer's tenure. Some officers held two different offices for ASTR, and sometimes their papers for both offices are mixed together in one folder. This happens especially with Don Wilmeth, so researchers should look under all offices that a person held. The series is arranged chronologically where possible. Floppy discs containing files from Kalman Burnim's tenure as president, Margaret Ranald's tenure as Vice-President, and Cary Mazer's tenure as Secretary are found in the media box.
