Correspondence, 1970-1993

This subseries contains correspondence to and from Kenneth G. Bloomquist during his position as Director of Bands and Director of Music at MSU. Correspondence in arranged in two blocks, 1970-1978 and 1978-1993, and within those ranges is arranged alphabetically by correspondent. Noted correspondents include James Barnes, who took over for Bloomquist as Director of Bands at the University of Kansas, composer Aaron Copland, composer and conductor H. Owen Reed, composer James Curnow, President of College Band Directors National Association Ray Cramer, and many other College Band and Music Directors around the nation and internationally.
