Contest/Festival Materials, 1930-1941
This series contains correspondence, bulletins, concert programs, participant rules and instructions, contest regulations and manuals, repertoire lists, and judge's group assignments relevant to city, state, and national music competitions. Included are documents pertaining to the Ohio Intercollegiate Orchestra Festival, Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois District Music Festivals, and the National Solo and Ensemble Music Festivals. There are also judge's comment sheets from district competitions specific to Lowell and Evanston Township High Schools. The documents are arranged according to competition, with an emphasis on Indiana, Illinois, and National contests judging from the amount of material on each.

The collection is open for research use. Materials from this collection must be used in the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library's Irving and Margery Morgan Lowens Special Collections Room during SCPA’s operating hours.
