Clinic Materials, 1936-1969
This series contains correspondence, promotional flyers, notes, and band rosters, as well as lists of conductors' assignments, repertoire, selections for sight reading, offered courses, and group performances. The correspondence consists of invitations to attend the clinics as a band or conductor as well as suggestions for possible courses or repertoire for the clinics. King Stacy, Ralph E. Rush, Hazel Lloyd and other members of the Board for National School Music Competition-Festivals and officers of the Region III Clinic Committee figure prominently here. Clinic materials include those of the Indiana Band and Orchestra Clinic, Northwestern University Band and Orchestra Clinics, Mid-West National Band and Orchestra Clinic, University of Illinois National Clinic, and the Ohio State University Orchestra, Band, and Choral Clinic. The series is arranged by clinic, with specific emphasis on those held at Northwestern University due to the amount of material involved.
