Biographical / Historical

Mary de Vermond served as President of the Maryland Music Educators Association from 1951 through 1953. At that time, she was a public school choral teacher at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland. Mary de Vermond later became a professor of music at the University of Maryland. She also authored several reviews for American Music Teacher, the journal of the Music Teachers National Association.
