This collection centers on recordings that Jimmy Waynick, a circus and band music enthusiast, gathered that are related to Merle Evans, a bandmaster and cornetist best known for his work with the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus Band. The collection contains six cassette tapes of speeches and concerts by or about Merle Evans.
The collection is open for research use. Materials from this collection must be used in the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library's Irving and Margery Morgan Lowens Special Collections Room during SCPA’s operating hours.
