Abstract The Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies (LIMS) is a non-profit educational organization, centered in Brooklyn, New York, with a global network of movement professionals. Founded in 1977 and formally established in 1978 by Irmgard Bartenieff and a small group of movement analysts, LIMS trains individuals in movement observation and analysis.
