Description provided by photographer Roy Simonson reads: "Area of Awase clay, Alluvial soil from Regosols, and some limestone float along the coast just north of Yonabaru, Okinawa with people putting out sweet potato slips in the tilled patches after the recent rain. Ships off shore are left from the typhoon of October 1945. This is a duplicate slide; the original was filed unmounted and unnumbered."

This is near site of photographs of profile shown in G129 and G130; it is the same road. Grass vegetation is common, and this shows a stray pine. Disabled tank along road in middle distance."

This profile grades into the slightly weathered rock, is under grass, and allows slips readily. A tiling spade to show scale has 16" blade."
