Mud holes with water on road and a disabled tank, May 16, 1948
Description provided by photographer Roy Simonson reads: "Mudholes filled with water in secondary road from the Regosols from calcareous clays in the area north-northwest of Yonabaru about 2 miles. This is near site of photographs of profile shown in G129 and G130; it is the same road. Grass vegetation is common, and this shows a stray pine. Disabled tank along road in middle distance."

Description provided by photographer Roy Simonson reads: "Disabled American tank, "Abe's Irish Rose", bogged down in Awase clay, north of Yonabaru and about ½ mile west of junction of Roads 13 and 38. Distant uplands are largely in grass with some tilled patches."
