Description provided by photographer Roy Simonson reads: "Tea bushes, about 20 inches tall, in a field of a few acres on the upland ridges (Red and Yellow Podzolic soils from marine sediments) of the isthmus one-half mile southwest of and about 100 feet above Ishakawa."
