Abstract
Irene Beasley (1904-1980) was a composer, singer, and radio personality nicknamed "the long, tall gal from Dixie." Beasley was featured or starred in numerous radio series in a long and varied career. She produced and wrote a children's radio series entitled Aunt Zelena.
