Correspondence, 1956-1972 and undated

This series contains signed typescript and manuscript letters. There are two Gunn letters to Donald Davie. The Davie file also includes an unsigned and undated typed copy of Gunn's "An Amorous Debate," on which Gunn recorded his comments on that work and on his long poem "Misanthropos." There are also two letters from Donald Hall to Gunn and a letter from Norman Scwires that Gunn inscribed "My first fan letter from a stranger." Finally there is an undated letter from Tony Tanner that is a critique of a draft of "Misanthropos." This series is arranged alphabetically.
