Scope and Contents Series II, Notebooks, is arranged chronologically. The notebooks, dated by Gunn, span from April 1956 to Summer 1967. They include manuscript and typescript drafts of poems, notes regarding poems and publications, and journal entries. Prior to processing, most of the notebooks contained loose materials. Scope and Contents This series contains signed typescript and manuscript letters. There are two Gunn letters to Donald Davie. The Davie file also includes an unsigned and undated typed copy of Gunn's "An Amorous Debate," on which Gunn recorded his comments on that work and on his long poem "Misanthropos."
