Album 2, the second note card inscription front side: "The ship had been scheduled to run to Vera Cruz / but at the last minute, labor troubles broke / out among the irrepressible Mexicans. / The Standard Fruit Company hesitated to / bring bananas polluted with revolution / to peace-loving Americans – and headed / for another port. / Ceiba in the Spanish Honduras was the / Atlantida's real destination. There she / would load 50,000 stems of bananas, and we / were warned that in the event of an accident / on the way home, bananas would be loaded into / the lifeboats first.
