Photographs, 1930-1990 and undated

 Series 11

The subjects of the photographs in the series include Katherine Anne Porter, dust jackets of two of Porter's works, Isabel Bayley, Bayley's family members and friends, and photographs taken for Bayley's never-published work, "Canal Cavalcade." Some of the photographs of Katherine Anne Porter are copies of images in Porter's papers. Photographs document Bayley's residences in Buffalo, New York; New York City; and Toronto, Canada; as well as her travels to Spanish Honduras in 1935, Italy in 1974, and Ghana in 1977. Photographs also document Isabel Bayley's service as an officer in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC) in the early 1940s. There are also portraits of Bayley by fashion model and photographer Marion Morehouse.

The photographs are arranged into two groupings: photographs of or related to Katherine Porter followed by photographs of or related to Isabel Bayley. Within each grouping, photographs are arranged chronologically.
