General Executive Board, 1936-1972

Records generated or received by the General Executive Board (GEB) of the IUMSWA, the union's central governing body. The files consist of correspondence; reports; speeches; case files; newsletters; constitutions; bylaws; minutes; tax returns; and rosters of locals. Also included are trial or hearing transcripts; newspaper clippings; financial statements and and reports; invitations; and newsletters. Union operations at the national level are documented as well as policies established, organizing drives, and various legal actions involving the union and its members. The activities of GEB members John Green, John Grogan, and Philip Van Gelder are also covered extensively. Arrangement is alphabetical by document type or individual.
