Regional Offices, 1934-1959

Correspondence, reports, newspaper clippings, minutes, agreements, broadsides, and transcripts of hearings generated in the various regional offices of the IUMSWA which were established to handle issues and concerns peculiar to the union membership in a particular geographic region. Documentation of the Baltimore, Delaware River, Gulf, New England, and West Coast Division offices is especially extensive. This subseries also contains files pertaining to various regional directors, including Charles George (Baltimore), Charles Hansen (Gulf), Charles Leone (Inland), Andrew Pettis (New England), and Alfred Meyers (New York). Arrangement is alphabetical by region.
