Industrial Union Council, 1942-1957

This subseries consists of correspondence between the IUMSWA and various industrial union councils, which were affiliates of the Congress of Industrial Organizations (C.I.O.). The councils brought together, at the state or local level, representatives of all labor unions active in that particular area. They were established to further the goals of the C.I.O. and provide assistance to union locals extant in each region.
