Marine Draftsmen's Association, C.I.O., 1944-1946

Records documenting the IUMSWA's relationship with this group include correspondence, newsletters, directive orders, prehearing briefs, and case summaries. The Marine Draftsmen's Association represented technical employees at various naval architectural firms, and a number of these chapters sought affiliation with the IUMSWA. The files in this subseries primarily cover issues relating to affiliation and other organizing efforts but also document contract negotiations and the establishment of a technical and professional employees division of the Industrial Union of Marine and Shipbuilding Workers of America.
