Other Unions, 1936-1962

This subseries brings together correspondence and publications documenting the IUMSWA's interaction with a wide variety of other labor unions; a significant number of these unions are directly related to the maritime industry, but many are not. Included are the International Metal Workers Federation, United Mine Workers of America, Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, and the International Union of Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers, among many others. These records are primarily arranged chronologically; files covering the International Metal Workers Federation appear at the end of the subseries.
