"Save the Union Committee", 1945-1948
The "Save the Union Committee" was formed by dissident IUMSWA members dissatisfied with the national union officers and policies adopted at the eleventh national convention. This subseries documents the activities of the committee and efforts of the IUMSWA's leadership to combat their charges and maintain the union's unity. The files consist of correspondence, speeches, minutes, flyers, newspaper clippings, and legal records from the case of John P. Quinn, et al vs. John Green, et al, in which Green was accused of "maladministration in his office and of failing to protect the interests of members and of locals of the Industrial Union.". Arrangement is alphabetical by document type.
