Other Organizations, 1936-1959

This subseries is comprised of the IUMSWA's correspondence to and from a variety of organizations other than federal government agencies and labor unions; also included are scattered letters from private individuals. Types of organizations represented include: 1) private foundations and associations, such as the National Public Housing Conference or the Labor Standards Association; 2) political organizations, e.g. the Union for Democratic Action; 3) law firms; 4) local governments, such as the New Jersey Senate or the City Council of Philadelphia;5) other labor leagues, including the Workers Alliance of America and Labor's Non-Partisan League of New Jersey; and, 6) broad- casting and publishing companies, such as CBS and the British Press Service. Arrangement is chronological.
