Scrapbooks, 1944-1945

Subseries 5 consists of one scrapbook entitled "Salute to the Wounded", which contains newspaper clippings recounting the planning for and performance of a benefit stage show, sponsored by IUMSWA, to aid various military hospitals. The benefit, held in Madison Square Garden, was headlined by military heroes, civilian stars, and several big bands, and raised more than $50,000 for enhanced hospital services.
