Campaigns, 1950-1967
This subseries, dating from 1950 to 1967, contains materials related to Byrd's unsuccessful political campaigns. Files include correspondence, speeches, and pamphlets. Materials on George P. Mahoney, whom Byrd defeated in the Democratic primary for the gubernatorial race, and Theodore R. McKeldin comprise part of this subseries as well, pre-dating Byrd's own campaign involvement. Files have been arranged alphabetically.
