Correspondence, 1861
This series consists of seven letters Pomeroy sent to his sister, brother, father, and mother describing his activities from June 1861 to September 1861 during the Civil War. Also included is a general order appointing Pomeroy brigade commissary. The letters cover such topics as Pomeroy's need to borrow money to purchase a horse, the state of his health, and the activities of his new position as brigade commissary. The materials are arranged chronologically.
