Ladies Auxiliary Locals and State Councils, 1915-1998

These files are arranged with local Ladies Auxiliaries first, listed by number, and state councils second, listed alphabetically. Ladies Auxiliary locals were associated with UBCJA local unions and were made up of the local member's female family members. Some Ladies Auxiliaries locals were associated with different locals over time as Ladies Auxiliary local numbers were reused if they disbanded. These files sometimes include correspondence between the Ladies Auxiliaries and UBCJA headquarters, including information about Ladies Auxiliary locals' leadership and activities, as well as other administrative information.

As noted in the inventory, some of the folders for the locals include part or all of their charter, while some locals' charters are in subseries 1.5. The collection does not include every Ladies Auxiliary charter.
