This subseries contains files related to the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Republican National Conventions. Hogan was a member and committeeman for the Committee and a Delegate for the Conventions in 1964, 1968, 1972, 1976, and 1980.

These documents cover various campaigns at the national, state, and local elections, RNC conferences and conventions, and activities of various Republican-related groups. Elections include the election of a new RNC Chairman in 1976, with candidates including Ronald Reagan, Richard “Dick” Richards, and Bill Brock; President Gerald Ford’s re-election for President versus Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter in 1976; and the 1976 Gubernatorial races. Conferences and conventions include RNC’s Urban Conference held in Detroit, Michigan, in July 1978 and the Republican National Convention held at Miami Beach, Florida, in August 1972, for the re-election of President Richard M. Nixon and Vice President Spiro T. Agnew. There are also files related to other committees and groups, including the Maryland Federation of Republican Women, the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, the Republican Governors Association, and the National Right to Work Committee.

Materials in the subseries include campaign literature, correspondence, financial and fundraising files, memos, newsletters, newspaper clippings, press releases, position papers, and one cassette tape.
