This subseries contains files related to various political events and activities in Prince George’s County from 1963 to 1982. Topics include: Citizens for a Community Council; former members of Congress; Prince George’s art facilities; Civic Federation reports; Henry Kissinger; Prince George’s County Fire Bill; and President Ronald Reagan’s “New Federalism” initiatives. The Prince George’s County press releases from 1967 to 1968 were written by Del Malkie, the Public Relations Officer for Prince George’s County at the time and who later became Hogan’s Press Secretary.

Materials include correspondence, newspaper clippings, press releases, and reports.

Related Materials

The older newspaper clippings and press releases from 1963 to 1968 were probably used during Hogan’s corruption investigation on officials in Prince George’s County’s government. See Series 1: Independent Consulting, 1959-2003, Subseries 1: Larry Hogan Associates, Inc., 1959-1968.
