The first record of a meeting to discuss the formation of a Prince George's County Public Library System dates from 1945. This collection documents the planning and implementation of establishing the county library system, including correspondence to state legislators, as well as documentation of assistance from the League of Women Voters of Prince George's County. This collection is unprocessed, but an index to the microfilm is available as an external document.
