Dr. A. Lynn Bolles was a professor of Women's Studies at the University of Maryland from 1989 to 2015. Her scholarship centers around black feminist anthropology and black feminism in the United States and English-speaking Caribbean. She played a leading role in emphasizing the importance of intersectionality in academic feminism as early as the 1990s. This collection contains materials documenting Bolles' work as a scholar and includes academic papers, books, newsletters, correspondence, awards, and photographs.

Dr. A. Lynn Bolles was a professor of Women's Studies at the University of Maryland from 1989 to 2015. This collection contains materials from her academic career and includes research materials, photographs, correspondence, speeches, scholarly articles, books, awards and certificates, newsletters, and conference materials.
The A. Lynn Bolles papers were donated to the Libraries directly from Dr. Bolles. The materials came to the Libraries in three separate donations between 2017 and 2019.
This collection has been minimally processed. Materials were left in their original folders; loose items were placed in new folders by subject. Please note that there may be overlap between subjects between the three accessions that constitute this collection.
