William Bickley (1914-2010) was a professor in the Department of Entomology at the University of Maryland from 1949 to 1978. During that time, he also served as head of the department for 15 years. The William Bickley papers consist of departmental correspondence, publications, newsletters, photographs, clippings, grade books, and Bickley's personal recollections of his time at Maryland as a graduate student and professor. Also included is a bibliography of Ernest Cory, a former professor in the Entomology Department, and a history of the department.
Materials of a sensitive nature, such as those containing personally identifiable information, are restricted for 75 years or the life of the individual and may by screened and removed by special collections staff.
