Flyers, 1979-1991

This series primarily contains flyers for performances in the Washington, DC metro area by punk bands. Some exceptions occur for performances by DC punk bands outside of the DC area and for notable non-DC punk bands performing outside of the DC area. Flyers are arranged chronologically by date of performance and by status of flyer as an original flyer or a later photocopy of an original flyer. Where flyers in the collection are photocopies of originals, it has been indicated. Where flyers are promoting multiple separate concerts on the same sheet of paper, it has been indicated. Flyers pertaining to Cheslow’s bands, Chalk Circle and Bloody Mannequin Orchestra, are housed in separate folders, as indicated in the finding aid.
