This subseries contains information on the Summer Institutes Committee, the David Keller Travel Grant, and the Bernard Hewitt Award Committee. The Summer Institutes Committee contains materials on possible NEH-funded summer research opportunities for faculty and graduate students, including correspondence, planning materials for the institute, and the NEH grant. The Bernard Hewitt Award Committee (1987-2001) materials include correspondence referring to the nomination, discussion, and selection of the author whose book will receive this award.
