Historical Note

Allen Ahearn is an author, collector, and bookseller. A 1960 graduate of the University of Maryland, Ahearn established Quill & Brush in 1976 with his late wife, Patricia. Quill & Brush "specializes in first editions of literature, mystery/detective fiction and poetry, as well as collectible books in all fields." With Patricia, he co-authored "Book Collecting: A Comprehensive Guide" and "Book Collecting 2000."
