Loren D. Geiger (January 23, 1946 - February 19, 2009) was a music teacher, band director, and historian known for his publication of the newsletter, the Boombah Herald. The Loren Geiger papers cover the period from 1898 to 2003, with the bulk of the materials dating from 1973-2003. The collection consists of correspondence, clippings, programs, photographs and negatives, scores, and ledgers related to the Boombah Herald and Geiger's research into the history of band music.
The collection is open for research use. Materials from this collection must be used in the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library's Irving and Margery Morgan Lowens Special Collections Room during SCPA’s operating hours.
