Scope and Contents This series contains correspondence, testimony, reports, and exhibits created and collected during the activities of the AFL-CIO Ethical Practices Committee, established at the time of the merger to resolve serious problems of corruption in financial dealings or communism in political philosophy. Scope and Contents Sub-series 2 contains files having to do with all other committees, including the Campaign Policy Committee for the 1968 elections, a foreign trade committee, and a defense committee. The Campaign Policy Committee documents reflect the AFL-CIO's view of the 1968 election as a particularly crucial election.
