Two Japanese women in kimonos and obis (sashes), an American soldier, and a Japanese man in old army clothing are standing on the curb. Traffic is both American and Japanese. The building across the street to the left is the Air Transport Command terminal in the city."

The first building is the Imperial Theater, and the others, which lie north of it, are office buildings formerly used by the biggest Japanese corporations."
