This series contains four letters written by Asbury Clark, a Unionist from Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. His letters are written to a friend named “Tom” and describe the recent Baltimore riots that Clark witnessed, attitudes towards the intensifying Civil War, and aspects of ordinary life in Shippensburg. Materials are arranged chronologically.
