Maryland Federal Writers' Project Subject Files, 1935-1939

This series consists of references, notes, newspaper clippings, and draft articles and essays, all dealing with Maryland, which were used or produced by employees of the Maryland Federal Writers's Project. Folders are arranged alphabetically by subject, ranging from agriculture to state government. Some broad subject areas have a further subject or chronological breakdown that roughly corresponds to the Project's own "Key to Subject Files" filed in Series 1. Biographies are arranged alphabetically by profession and surname; otherwise, there is no particular arrangement below the folder level.
