In this series, materials document Reckord's federal military career. These include the orders appointing him as Provost Marshal of the European Theatre of Operations; diaries kept during World War II; the manual of duties of U.S. Provost Marshals; newspaper clippings; details of the organization and command of U.S. forces; daily prisoner of war reports; the General's service record and discharge; and materials related to his retirement, such as pension claims. There are also a commemorative book, 115 Infantry: In the World War, describing the activities of the infantry regiment Reckord commanded in World War I; a similar volume for the 29th Division in World War II, Twenty Nine: Let's Go; another book, 6 June, 1944-1969: Twenty-fifth Anniversary of the Landing at Omaha, Utah Beaches and South of France; and General Marshall's report, Winning the War in Europe and the Pacific.
