Correspondence, 1928-1975

 Series 3

This series is composed of correspondence related to Record's professional and volunteer activities, particularly U.S. Army affairs, the National Guard Association of the United States, Reckord's post as Adjutant General of Maryland, and the National Rifle Association. Some letters and cards relate to personal matters such as birthdays and holidays.

Originally, two files existed, but they were combined, as one seemed to be the chronological continuation of the other. Maintaining the original filing system, letters and replies have been kept in folders marked A to Z, with chronological order used for more precise arrangement. Most materials have been arranged by the correspondent's last name, but some were filed by subject. There are also a few folders containing correspondence of just one person or on one subject.
