University of Maryland, 1917-1969

This series consists of material related to the University of Maryland and Byrd's career both as assistant to the president and as president. Though the materials date from 1917 to 1969, the bulk was produced in the period between the 1920s and 1954; the series contains items dated after Byrd's 1954 retirement as well because they specifically relate to the university.
