Biographical / Historical
John Costello (1916- 2014) born in 1916 in St. Louis, Missouri and went to college for psychology while working for a newspaper and eventually promoted to editorial writer. He was drafted into the Army after Pearl Harbor, and worked as a typist until he went to Officer Candidates School, to later be promoted to the Pentagon with the military intelligence section during the war. He worked with the Civil Censorship Detachment (CCD) during the occupation. When he returned home he wrote a book about the war and the Occupation.
